Downtown Los Angeles always offers unseen character and texture for engagement photos. You can never get tired of it. This place is one of the city’s gems that reminds you why you brave the traffic jams and impossible roads.
It’s simply beautiful and intriguing. You can’t help but stare to try to find out all it’s little details and possibly it’s secrets.
Like this library, it’s as if someone put it together only seeing 2 feet in front of them at a time. It’s not always clear, but it’s definitely always interesting.
Meet Drew and Ieina
This love story’s got some miles on it.
Ieina is actually from New York. She moved to Japan for the culture and now teaches English in Tokyo. Personally, that’s like one of my secret fantasies. Japan will always fascinate me.
Drew hails from New Zealand and also moved to Japan. They later got together in Tokyo and like opposites attract (she’s so tiny!) are now having their wedding in LA as a half way point across the world for their families.
In this engagement session Drew and Ieina really came alive. I love that they were able to be silly and let go in front of the camera. That’s really the best way to get the moment–to let go.
We’re so excited to be able to work with this couple and can’t wait for their nuptials. I love to see families cross the seas, I know that reception is going to be crazy emotional.
