“We met August 2015 on Tinder. Jordan had just moved to Oceanside for his job and was looking to meet new people, Kristin had lived in the North County area for 8 years and dated on and off so her expectation was that this was just another online date that hopefully would be fun.“
“Fast forward, we obviously hit it off. time with each other was easy, comfortable and fun. Eventually we moved in together and started looking at houses in Oceanside – we love the area and were ready to call it home more permanently. Despite all of these “settling down” plans we hadn’t really talked about marriage so much as just felt it would happen when the timing was right. We both work in sales and travel regularly for our jobs so that has been a strong focus and passion for us.”
“Jordan achieved a sales award trip (“President’s club”) to Sorrento, Italy in May of 2018. We decided to tack on a week to hit Rome and the Amalfi Coast. True to his nature of always keeping Kristin on her toes (and enjoying surprising her), Jordan popped the question in our hotel room balcony in Amalfi halfway through the trip. Given marriage plans hadn’t been discussed, Kristin was totally surprised, in the best of ways. He had even picked the ring out with pretty much no input from her or any others. Needless to say that trip was magical – the destination is on its own but having it be a bit of a “engagement moon” was really special.“

“Catalina was a place we visited together first as a birthday present trip Jordan gave Kristin and then again with family and friends to celebrate New Years. We wanted a destination wedding and Catalina sort of reminds us of parts of coastal Italy where we got engaged. (minus the amazing limoncello and italian food). This is probably the only time all of our family will be together given we both have divorced parents who live in 3 different states so having a destination that allows us all to be together to celebrate for 2-3 days was important to us.“
