Ethereal Gardens Wedding with Annie and Jonathan

It all began in September of 2018. Jonathan was pursuing his career as a city planner in the Bay Area, and he lived in San Francisco. Meanwhile, Annie was studying as a PA student at Touro University in a nearby city, Vallejo.

Annie had recently decided to download Hinge, the dating app, and had never went on an actual date through the app. When Annie came across Jonathan’s profile, which was full of hilarious prompts (Annie is definitely the one writing this), she was not amused. Luckily for Jonathan, she did see a mutual friend in one of his photos and thought, ok, at least he’s real, swipe right. Jonathan, who actually appreciated Annie’s profile, asked her out soon after they started chatting.

Fast forward to the night of their first date, Annie is on her way to San Francisco to meet Jonathan for dinner. Given that it’s her first date through an app, she begins to feel nervous about the whole idea and sends Jonathan a photo of the bottle of pepper spray that she keeps with her at all times. Jonathan was entranced at this point and thought, fk it, who needs eyes? The night went well as they went from dinner, to a bar, to meeting Annie’s friends, and then talking until dawn. Annie and Jonathan ended up going on four more dates over the next week and the rest is history.
