For Couples
Today we feature our couple Katrina and Glenn who did their engagement at the Los Angeles Arboretum. Today they keep to their love for the LA landscape with a Cicada Club wedding, an ode to hollywood noir and an old time romantic feel.
MEET GLENN AND KATRINA
These two met in 2010 over a magical shift from day to night. Both telemetry nurses, these two fought their urge to talk to each other for months. Over time, the opportunity became available for them both and they started to date.
Funnily enough, Glenn and Katrina could never really hide their love for each other in the workplace, so with all the right pieces in place Glenn proposed on a surprise trip to the Griffith Observatory Park on February 2015.
Fun facts: Katrina has a Masters Degree in Nursing; Glenn is a decorated competitive piano player.
SOME HIGHLIGHTS:
Katrina’s Veil: It’s so beautiful and long it becomes a sort of train that billows in the wind.
The Biltmore Hotel: Getting ready in a hotel is practically a given in modern weddings, but the this hotel does a great job to precursor the reception area at the Cicada Club. You’ll feel like you’re Cary Grant or Frank Sinatra in these halls.
Our Lady of Angel Cathedral: a huge space for huge wedding parties and families. You’ll see the magnificence of this church below.
The black and white photos: nuff said.
Color Palette: Traditional white and black, pink carnations
Cicada Club Space: dimmed romantic lighting, a true old school clubbing feel. A robust interior and second floor for spectators on the dancefloor.
