From the moment we stepped onto the grounds, the gardens were alive with color. Towering trees draped in fresh green leaves, bright spring flowers popping everywhere, and that soft golden sunlight filtering through the canopy—it was pure magic. Mary’s flowing dress and Paul’s easy smile looked right at home against the natural beauty of this Los Angeles gem.
The Highlight Everyone’s Talking About: The Golden Leaf Shower
One of our absolute favorite moments of the entire LA Arboretum engagement came when we gathered handfuls of golden leaves from the paths. We invited Mary and Paul to shower each other with them. As the leaves caught the sunlight and floated down, they turned into hundreds of tiny glowing gold drops. The couple laughed, twirled, and kissed while the leaves rained around them. The reflections in the sun were breathtaking—romantic, playful, and completely unique.
This LA Arboretum engagement session wasn’t just about pretty pictures. It was about capturing real joy and connection in one of Southern California’s most stunning natural settings. The arboretum’s winding paths, hidden ponds, and blooming landscapes gave us endless variety without ever leaving the property.
